On Tuesday, May 13, 2025, a two-day training program was held at the University of Zakho under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Diyar Abdulkareem Saeed, the university's president.

The College of Medicine in collaboration with the Millennium International Organization introduced a specialized course on first aid treatment, cardiac resuscitation and trauma response. A total of 110 participants took part in the program. 

Both theoretical and practical scientific topics were covered during the two-day program. The participants were given essential guidance and strategies for handling emergencies. They also gained important knowledge about professional intervention in a variety of disaster scenarios and structured crisis management.
